HD Kumaraswamy Suffers Nosebleed During Presser On BJP-JDS 'Padayatra', Rushed To Hospital

During the BJP-JDS coordination committee meeting, plans were made for a foot march from Bengaluru to Mysore to protest against the ruling Congress government.

Union Minister HD Kumaraswamy was rushed to the hospital after experiencing a severe nosebleed while attending a press conference in Bengaluru on Sunday. Kumaraswamy was seen attempting to stop the bleeding with a piece of cloth, but his shirt became drenched in blood during the incident, news agency ANI reported. The press conference was part of a meeting of BJP-JDS leaders, held under the leadership of state BJP President BY Vijayendra, Kumaraswamy, and the state leader of opposition, R Ashoka.

On Sunday, BJP and JD(S) leaders convened in Bangalore to strategise against the MUDA scam case. Kumaraswamy was addressing reporters after this meeting when the nosebleed occurred.

During the BJP-JDS coordination committee meeting, plans were made for a foot march from Bengaluru to Mysore to protest against the ruling Congress government and bring attention to recent scam allegations. The march is set to start next Saturday, taking seven days from August 3 to August 10.

BJP-JDS Padyatra To Target Karnataka Govt Over MUDA 'Scam'

A meeting of BJP-JDS leaders under the leadership of state BJP President BY Vijayendra, Kumarswamy, and state leader of opposition R Ashoka took place.

Vijayendra said after the huddle that the meeting was held to discuss the reason behind the corruption taking place in Karnataka including the Mysore Urban Development Authority (MUDA) scam case.

"All the senior leaders from BJP, as well as JD(S), met and discussed in detail about the way corruption is taking place in Karnataka under the leadership of Siddaramaiah. In the ST Development Corporation scam the money for the welfare of the scheduled tribe community has been looted by the Congress government, MUDA scam and many other scams which are taking place in Karnataka," he said, as quoted by ANI.

He further said that the BJP and JDS is likely to take out a 'Padyatra' on August 3. "Both parties have decided to take out 'Padyatra' from August 3. BS Yediyurappa and HD Kumaraswamy will participate in the Yatra. It is a seven-day yatra which will start on August 3 and conclude on August 10. National leaders of the BJP will also be present on 10th August. If the government will try to stop our 'Padyatra' we will not stop," the BJP leader added.

Earlier, Karnataka's Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivkumar stated during a Friday press conference at the KPCC office that the BJP government was striving hard to damage Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's reputation by organising a padayatra to protest against the MUDA irregularities.
