Video: Noida Firm Founder's Family Trip To Haryana Turns Nasty As Thief Breaks Car Window To Steal Valuables

Robbers broke into a parked car and stole valuables worth lakhs in Haryana's Sonipat district.

A shocking incident came to the fore from Haryana where robbers broke into a parked car and robbed valuables worth lakhs. The incident was captured on a CCTV camera where a thief could be seen breaking the window pane of a window and taking out a bag containing valuables. 

The incident took place on Tuesday in Haryana's Gannnaur in the Sonipat district, said entrepreneur Manav Jain, co-founder of a Noida-based firm, who shared the incident on LinkedIn. 

"While my family and I were enjoying lunch in Murthal, Gannaur (Haryana), we experienced something I never thought would happen to us. Robbers broke into our parked car, smashed the window, and made off with two bags containing lakhs worth of jewellery, essential documents, cash, and cards," said the social media user in his post. 

 

He urged everyone not to valuables inside the car "even for a short period." "Whether you’re stepping away for a quick meal, errand, or anything else, always prioritize safeguarding your belongings," he said. 

The local authorities were informed about the incident and a probe is underway to recover the lost items, he added. 

Hailing from Uttar Pradesh's Ghaziabad, the family was on its way to Chandigarh from Delhi when they took a halt near Gannaur. They parked their car and went for a meal, according to an Amar Ujala report. 

As the family came out of the eatery, they saw the glass of the car shattered while jewellery and Rs 20,000 cash were also not sight. He informed the owner of the eatery after which the CCTV footage was examined. 

A young man was seen coming and standing near the car and in just ten seconds completed the entire theft and left. 

The victim has complained about the matter to Ganaur police station and an investigation is underway into the matter.
