Fire Breaks Out In Mosque In Jammu And Kashmir's Anantnag

A fire broke out in Jamia Masjid in the Khanbal area of South Kashmir's Anantnag district on Friday. Officials said that the fire began in one of the homes before spreading to neighboring buildings, including the mosque, causing extensive damage.
The fire broke out in Jamia Masjid Khanabal which spread to nearby residential houses and caused damage. The Jammu and Kashmir Fire and Emergency Services released footage showing the blaze engulfing structures in the area.
“Efforts are on to douse the fire with the help of locals,” officials said, according to ANI, adding that the scale of the blaze required extensive resources to bring it under control.

Meanwhile, the authorities have registered a case and initiated an investigation to determine the cause of the fire. There have been no reports of any injuries or fatalities.
