Fire Breaks Out At Vishal Mega Mart In Delhi’s Karol Bagh; Dousing Ops Underway
A fire erupted at Vishal Mega Mart in Delhi's Karol Bagh on Friday evening, requiring 15 fire tenders to control. Originating on the second floor of the five-story building, the blaze spread to other areas.

A fire broke out at Vishal Mega Mart in Karol Bagh, Delhi on Friday evening. According to the Fire Department, 15 fire tenders were deployed to the location to control the blaze.

The building consists of a basement, ground floor, first, second, and third floors. According to initial reports, the fire started on the second floor and gradually spread to other parts of the building. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
At the time of the incident, people were reportedly inside the store. However, they were evacuated before the fire spread further. Firefighters are currently engaged in dousing the flames, and a clearer picture will emerge once their operation concludes.
Since the mart is in the middle of a crowded area, the fire reportedly created panic in the area. The police controlled the situation and cordoned off the affected area. Meanwhile, the fire department is busy extinguishing the fire.
Earlier, a sudden fire broke out in the Trauma Center of AIIMS in New Delhi on Thursday (3 July) afternoon. This fire broke out in an electric transformer. Fortunately, no one was injured in this incident.
