FIR Against Cricketer Yash Dayal As Ghaziabad Woman Alleges Cheating, Physical Abuse, False Promise Of Marriage

An FIR was filed against cricketer Yash Dayal in Ghaziabad, UP, under BNS Section 69. He faces charges of sexual exploitation, physical violence, mental harassment, and cheating, including false promises of marriage.

A case has been registered against cricketer Yash Dayal by Uttar Pradesh Police following a Ghaziabad woman’s allegations of prolonged emotional and physical abuse. The FIR, which was lodged late on Sunday at Indirapuram police station, was filed after the complainant raised the issue on the Chief Minister’s grievance redressal portal.

Allegations of Exploitation Under Marriage Pretext

As per an IANS report, in her formal complaint, the woman claimed she had been in a relationship with Yash Dayal for five years. She alleged that the cricketer “repeatedly made false promises of marriage” and “established physical relations under that pretext.” The woman further stated that she had been introduced to Dayal’s family, who, she said, accepted her as a “daughter-in-law, thereby deepening her trust.”

The FIR has been filed under Section 69 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. The woman accused Dayal of “emotional, mental, and physical exploitation” while deceiving her about their future together.

According to the complainant, when she discovered Dayal’s alleged involvement with other women and confronted him, she was met with physical assault and manipulation. She claimed that she contacted the women’s helpline 181 for help but alleged that the matter did not move forward at the police station level. As a result, she approached the Chief Minister’s office seeking intervention.

The woman also stated that she had shared photographs, call records, and other forms of evidence to support her claims. She urged authorities to take prompt legal action and highlighted how many women, like her, “fall victim to similar patterns of manipulation disguised as romantic relationships.”

Ghaziabad Police Confirm Inquiry, No Arrest Yet

The police have initiated an investigation into the matter and confirmed that the FIR was filed after examining the woman’s evidence and testimony. However, Yash Dayal has not been taken into custody so far.

Investigating officers said that legal proceedings are in motion and any potential arrest would follow further corroboration and procedural steps.

This case has stirred public discourse around abuse within intimate relationships, especially when involving public personalities, and the effectiveness of the legal framework in addressing psychological and emotional trauma.

The complainant clarified that her decision to pursue legal action was not motivated by revenge but rather a quest for justice and dignity. She said she hoped her case would empower other women who face similar circumstances.
