Delhi: One Killed, 4 Injured As SUV Hits Car, Motorcycles, Handcart In Rohini; Driver Arrested

Delhi: A 53-year-old man died and four others were injured in a road accident in Delhi's Rohini on Tuesday night. The accident occurred after the driver of an SUV lost control of the vehicle, hitting two motorycles, a car, and a handcart in Aman Vihar area.
The deceased, identified as Rajender Yadav, was rushed to a nearby hospital after being injured but later succumbed during treatment, news agency PTI reported citing police officials.
A PCR call was received by the Police on Tuesday night regarding a Hyundai Creta car hitting two motorcycles, a car, and a handcart, injuring five people.
The injured include a 38-year-old property dealer Arun Kumar, Rahul Singh (29) who works on a contract basis in the SBI, and Sachin (18) who works in a mattress factory.Besides this, Rajender Yadav ,who died during treatment used to run a tea stall. The SUV driver has been identified as 23-year-old Hridya Juneja who supports his father in their business of water cooler's motor manufacturing. Juneja also sustained injuries in the accident.
After receiving information about the accident, a police team rushed to the spot and nabbed the SUV driver Hridya Juneja, a police officer told PTI.
Legal action is being initiated against the driver and a police team is collecting information from him to understand how he lost control of the vehicle. Further investigation into the matter is underway.
In another incident, three women sustained injuries on Sunday morning after their car collided with a divider in north Delhi's Civil Lines area, PTI reported.
Police said they received a call at the Civil Lines police station regarding the accident.
When a police team reached the spot, it found a burning car and were informed that the injured were rushed to a trauma centre. The police learnt at the medical facility that the driver of the car fled the spot after the collision. All three women were hospitalised, and two of them were discharged after treatment.
