Delhi: Gogi Gang Sharpshooter Aman Arrested In Nangloi Extortion Case

On November 4, Aman, a sharpshooter from the Gogi gang, fired several rounds in Delhi's Nangloi area and demanded ransom of crores of rupees.

Delhi Police's Special Cell has arrested Aman alias Sher, a sharpshooter of the Jitendra Gogi-Yogesh Tunda-Monti Mann crime syndicate. His name came up in the recent incident of firing at a plywood shop in Nangloi for extortion. A semi-automatic pistol and 4 live cartridges have been recovered from the accused.

A team of Special Cell NR and STF arrested Aman, a resident of Kundli in Haryana's Sonipat. He was arrested in the Alipore Police Station area in Delhi. 

On November 4, three people riding a white scooter fired shots at a plywood shop in the area under the Nangloi police station. He wanted to threaten the owner of the shop in an extortion bid. The sharpshooters of the Gogi gang had demanded crores of rupees as "protection money". The shooters also hurled the gang's pamphlets at the shop. The pamphlets mentioned the names of criminals lodged in jail and the photos of deceased gangsters Jitendra Gogi and Kuldeep Fazza. 

A team of Inspector Mandeep and Inspector Jaibir of the Special Cell of Northern Range was tasked with arresting the perpetrators of the Nangloi firing incident. The team conducted multiple raids but had been unable to trace the suspects initially.

After this, on the basis of information from informers, the police came to know that Aman was scheduled arrive in the Alipore area for some work. The police laid a trap and Aman alias Sher was caught in a raid. Aman studied till Class 12 and dropped out of school right after that and entered the world of crime. 

The Delhi Police has now registered a case under different sections of BNS.
