Delhi Doctor Murder: Husband Of Nurse Tasked Minor With Killing, Promised Marriage With Daughter
The boy was hired by the husband of a nurse who suspected the doctor of having an affair with his wife and promised his daughter's marriage with the teen.
The minor arrested for allegedly killing a 55-year-old Unani doctor inside his private nursing home in Delhi was hired by the husband of a nurse over suspicion of an extramarital affair. The 17-year-old came along with his teen friend, who is currently on the run, for first-aid treatment to Nima Hospital in southeast Dehli's Kalindi Kunj on Wednesday and shot dead the doctor, Javed Akhtar a practitioner of Unani Medicine.
After the incident, the minor allegedly uploaded a post on a social media platform with his photograph and a caption: "Kar diya 2024 mein murder" (Finally committed murder in 2024).
Following the incident, chilling details have emerged wherein it has been revealed that one of the minors was hired by the husband of a nurse suspecting Akhtar of having an affair with his wife.
Additionally, the suspect was reportedly in love with the daughter of the nurse and claimed that the nurse's husband promised him his daughter's hand in marriage if he killed Akhtar, as per a report by The Times of India.
The suspect also admitted to withdrawing money from the husband's ATM account.
Both the minors lived in the same locality and the police have recovered the weapon used in the crime, the cops said, reported NDTV.
The two boys reached the hospital late at night on Wednesday and one of them asked for a change of dressing for his injured toe. He was treated at the hospital the night before as well.
After the dressing was done, the teens said they wanted a prescription and went to Akhtar's cabin. Minutes later, the nursing staff heard a gunshot. They rushed to the cabin and found the doctor in a pool of blood while the two boys fled away.
The police have questioned the female nurse and her husband in connection with the case, reported NDTV.
