Elderly Man Dies After Speeding Vehicle Hits Him In Madhya Pradesh

During the incident, the impact was so severe that he was thrown to the ground and sustained serious injuries. He was immediately taken to the district hospital, but died during treatment.

An elderly man lost his life after a speeding vehicle struck him with great force in the Chhindwara district of Madhya Pradesh on Tuesday. The incident took place in front of the State Bank in Amarwara, around 11 AM.

The deceased, identified as Poonaram Verma, a resident of Ward 10, was walking with his bicycle when a fast-approaching vehicle hit him from behind. The impact was so severe that he was thrown to the ground and sustained serious injuries. He was immediately taken to the district hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries during treatment.

The police have registered a case and initiated an investigation. Following the incident, there is widespread outrage among the local residents.

Speeding Car Runs Over Two Elderly Men On Evening Walk In Chhindwara

In a separate incident, a speeding car ran over two elderly men who were out for an evening walk on the Parasia-Jamai road in Chhindwara district, Madhya Pradesh, on Thursday (February 20, 2025). Both victims died on the spot. After hitting them, the car crashed into a stationary tanker nearby. The elderly man inside the car had to be rescued using a JCB machine, but he too succumbed to his injuries later.

Following the horrific accident, the elderly pedestrians were rushed to Parasia Hospital, where doctors declared them dead. The injured car occupant was also pulled out of the vehicle after some time and given medical attention, but his life could not be saved either, according to a report by Navbharat Times.

According to reports, Suraj Uikey, a resident of Nandan, was traveling with his grandson in a WagonR car from Parasia to Nandan. Just beyond the Ambada toll plaza, near Rishi Dhaba, Mahadev Yadav and Jawahir Gupta were walking along the roadside when the speeding driver recklessly ran them over. After hitting them, the car rammed into a tanker.

Suraj Uikey, the car occupant from Nandan, Damua, sustained severe injuries and was taken to Parasia Hospital, where he later passed away. The car driver was not found at the accident site.
