Today is the third day of the Chhath festival. Devotees nationwide engage in the Sandhya Puja, a ritual honouring the setting Sun. During the evening prayers, families come together by rivers, ponds, or other water bodies to present offerings like fruits, sweets, and 'thekua' as prasad. They sing hymns and pray to the Sun god and Chhathi Maiya as part of the observance.
