Artificial Ghats Found Empty In Delhi

Meanwhile, residents in the Geeta Colony of Delhi took to the streets in protest as the artificial ghats prepared for Chhath Puja were found empty.

In response, a devotee who reached the artificial ghats, said "Why did they make all these arrangements if they were not going to give water? We could have celebrated the festival at home. We will take it to the streets if water is not provided."

Today is the third day of the Chhath festival. Devotees nationwide engage in the Sandhya Puja, a ritual honouring the setting Sun. During the evening prayers, families come together by rivers, ponds, or other water bodies to present offerings like fruits, sweets, and 'thekua' as prasad. They sing hymns and pray to the Sun god and Chhathi Maiya as part of the observance.
