Caught On Camera: Pune Man Killed By Speeding Car While Bursting Firecrackers, Driver Flees Spot

Pune News: A 38-year-old man was killed after being hit by a speeding car while bursting firecrackers on November 30. The accused driver fled the scene and remains at large.

A 38-year-old man lost his life in the Pimpri-Chinchwad area of Maharashtra's Pune district after being struck by a speeding car while bursting firecrackers on the roadside. The accident, which occurred on November 30 and was captured on CCTV, involved the victim, identified as Soham Patel, being hit by a speeding vehicle.

The incident occurred in front of the Felicity Society in Ravet, where Soham was celebrating with his loved ones, ABP Majha reported. The driver of the fast-moving vehicle fled the scene after the collision, which was captured on CCTV footage. 

The accused has not yet been apprehended, leading to rising anger among local residents in Ravet. The community has expressed frustration, threatening to take to the streets in protest if the police fail to make an immediate arrest of the driver involved in this accident, according to ABP Majha.

Nagpur Man Stabbed To Death Over Bursting Firecracker

A 25-year-old man was allegedly stabbed to death by a teenager in Nagpur over a dispute regarding the bursting of firecrackers, officials reported on Saturday. The victim, identified as Amol Waghmare, was attacked in the Imambada area of the city on Friday night, news agency PTI reported.

According to police, an argument erupted between Waghmare and the teenager concerning the use of firecrackers. During the confrontation, the teenager pulled out a knife and fatally attacked Waghmare. The official noted that the victim, who had multiple criminal cases against him, and the accused had a history of enmity. The teenager has since been apprehended by the authorities.

Similarly, a 65-year-old man was allegedly beaten to death in Haryana's Faridabad district after he objected to people bursting firecrackers in his neighborhood, India Today reported. The son of the victim said, Vinod, a neighbour, and his friends were setting off firecrackers late on Diwali night in Sector 18. When the victim, Bachchan Rai, asked them to stop, a verbal altercation followed, which escalated into a physical assault.

The attackers, identified as Raju, Dheeraj, and Nandu, reportedly beat Rai, who was later rushed to the hospital but died during treatment. The complaint stated that Vinod and his wife were also assaulted when they tried to intervene.
