Bus Overturns On Delhi-Jaipur Highway In Gurugram; Police Head Constable Killed, 20 Injured
The Rajasthan Transport Corporation bus swerved to avoid a car near Pachgaon Chowk on the Delhi-Jaipur highway early Saturday when it lost control and overturned.

A Delhi Police head constable was killed and more than 20 passengers were injured when a bus met with an accident on Saturday morning in Gurugram. The bus was on its way to Jaipur from Delhi when it overturned on the Delhi-Jaipur highway, resulting in the casualty and injuries.
According to police, the accident took place around 9.30 AM when the Rajasthan Transport Corporation bus swerved to avoid a Wagon R car near Pachgaon Chowk on the Delhi-Jaipur highway. However, it lost control and overturned, news agency PTI reported.
Police said the car was entering the highway when it came in the way of the bus.
Out of those injured, the bus conductor and a child have been admitted to a private hospital with critical injuries. The rest are receiving treatment at different hospitals.
After the accident, the bus had to be removed from the road by a crane.
The deceased policeman has been identified as 39-year-old Ashok Kumar. He was a native of Molawas village in Alwar district.
The policeman's brother said he had a boy and a girl. He said the deceased was supposed to be taking his daughter along with him on the bus, but he sent her back home last moment as he was getting late.
"Not all of the injured have been identified, but four of them, including a nine-year-old girl Aradhya, have been admitted to a private hospital in Bilaspur. The others are Ramkishan, Vishwas, and Aastha," an officer told PTI.
"There is no information yet about who all were in the car," he added.
In another incident, two brothers riding a motorcycle were killed after being hit by a Uttar Pradesh Roadways bus in Bijnor. Armaan (22) and Faheem (23), residents of Govardhanpur Navka village, were on their way to visit a fair when the incident took place.
Afzalgarh SHO Sumit Rathi told PTI that the accident took place on Thursday night near the Jikriwala bypass.
They were rushed to the Community Health Centre for treatment, but doctors declared them dead on arrival. Police said their bodies are being sent for postmortem.
