BSF Jawan Injured In IED Blast Along Pakistan Border In Punjab
BSF said that the troops identified a suspected Improvised Explosive Device (IED) with a network of concealed wires in the fields, confirming the presence of multiple IEDs.

A BSF jawan was injured while preventing a major blast targeting the BSF personnel and farmers in the Gurdaspur sector late Tuesday night. The incident occurred when a BSF party, during an area domination patrol ahead of the border security fence with Pakistan, detected suspicious items well inside the Indian territory.
The force said that the troops identified a suspected Improvised Explosive Device (IED) with a network of concealed wires in the fields, confirming the presence of multiple IEDs.
The concealed detonating device of the IEDs got triggered while cordoning off and sanitising the area, resulting in a serious leg injury to a BSF jawan.
The remaining IEDs were defused after daybreak, the force said. The incident took place in the jurisdiction of the Dorangla police station.
