‘Moon Has Spots, PM Doesn’t’: Kangana Ranaut Hails Prime Minister Modi, Slams Congress Over Scams

Kangana Ranaut lauded PM Modi, saying he is spotless. She highlighted the BJP and RSS's core beliefs and criticised the Congress for scams.

BJP MP Kangana Ranaut lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday, saying, "There are spots on the moon, but there is no spot on PM Modi".

Speaking at the public meeting in the Jarol assembly constituency of Himachal Pradesh's Sundernagar, the actor-turned-politician highlighted the core beliefs of BJP and RSS, describing them as rooted in "Sanatan, nationalism, Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam". She also criticised the Congress, accusing it of being involved in several scams, including the 2G scam, coal scam, and fodder scam.

"The ideology of BJP and RSS follows Sanatan, nationalism, Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam which we have been following for a long time...Before 2014, there used to be a lot of scams - 2G scam, coal scam, Fodder Scam...There is not even a single stain on PM Modi. 'Chand pe daag hota hai, unpe ek bhi daag nahin hai (There are spots on the moon, but there is no spot on PM Modi)'...", Ranaut said, news agency PTI reported.

Kangana Ranaut Criticises Himachal's Govt

While hailing PM Modi's leadership, the BJP MP from Mandi also launched a scathing attack on Himachal Pradesh's government for placing the state in poor condition.

She also mocked the state government over the recent "samosa" controversy, which officials later clarified was related to alleged misconduct and not the snack being served to the chief minister.

"There is a wave of PM Modi in the entire country and saffron... But it is painful to watch Himachal Pradesh's condition... Their agencies are probing samosas," she added.

"We feel embarrassed about what is happening... You work so hard on the ground, It is our responsibility that we have to take our state on the path of progress... I would say they are Bhediya (wolves) in a way. We have to free our state from their claws," the BJP MP further added.

Taking another swipe at the UPA government, she remarked that before 2014, the headlines were often dominated by corruption, terror incidents, and scams.

Known for her outspoken nature, Ranaut has previously made controversial statements. Just a day earlier, she stirred debate by claiming her electricity bill for her unused Manali home amounted to Rs 1 lakh.
