Bengaluru Businessman Found Dead At Lucknow Hotel 2 Days After Checking-In With Girlfriend, Woman At Large

A Bengaluru-based businessman was found dead under suspicious circumstances in a hotel room in Lucknow on Monday (January 20).
The victim, Nilesh Bhandari, checked into a hotel room in the UP capital two days earlier with a female friend. Bhandari, originally from Rajasthan and living in Bengaluru, had checked into the hotel room two days earlier with a female friend, according to a report in India Today.
The victim had checked into the Safrant Hotel in the Chinhat police station area in Lucknow with his friend. The hotel management found Bhandari in a naked state in the bathroom after his room. The hotel management informed of the incident to police.

The body has been sent for post-mortem and an investigation has been launched into the case. The police said that the cause of the death is not yet known.

The woman managed to escape before the police arrived at the spot. The police, meanwhile, found no visible signs of injury in the deceased's body.
According to a report in ETV Bharat, the man was rushed to the hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead. The woman then left from the hospital saying she had to collect some things from the hotel, but did not return.
"On January 20, 2025, information was received from a hotel in the Kamhat area in the Chinhat police station area that a guest, who had been staying in the hotel for the last two days, was found dead. The police immediately took the body into its custody and it has been sent for postmortem. There are no visible marks of injury on the body. The kin of the deceased has been informed," a police official said.
The police have questioned the hotel staff and the management as part of the probe.
