Bangla Bandh news: The driver of BJP leader Priyangu Pandey was shot at in an attack allegedly by TMC goons in Bhatpara. BJP leaders claim it was an assassination attempt on Pandey.

Bangla Bandh: Bengal Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari on Wednesday shared a video of a driver being shot at by a miscreant during the Bangla Bandh. Suvendu Adhikari claimed that the victim was the driver of Priyangu Pandey. He said that a TMC goon opened fire on BJP Leader Priyangu Pandey's vehicle in Bhatpara.

"This is how Mamata Banerjee and TMC are trying to force BJP off the streets. The Bandh is successful and people have supported it wholeheartedly. The toxic cocktail of police and TMC goons won't be able to scare off BJP," he said in an X post.

Alleging a plot to assassinate Priyangu Pandey, BJP leader Arjun Singh said, "Priyangu Pandey is our party leader. Today his car was fired at... The driver has been shot... Seven rounds were fired at the car. This was done in the presence of the ACP. There is a conspiracy to kill Priyangu Pandey. TMC is left with no issue. Therefore, they are doing such things... Two people are injured, one among them is serious..."

BJP worker Ravi Singh, who was sitting in the rear seat, was also injured in the incident. Priyangu Pandey was sitting in the front. He said he was going to meet BJP leader Arjun Singh.

Meanwhile, West Bengal Police recovered empty bomb shells near the spot where BJP leader Priyangu Pandey was attacked in Bhatpara of North 24 Parganas district. Priyangu Pandey claimed that several people attacked and fired on his car.
