Andhra Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan Gets Death Threat Calls, Police Launches Probe

As per the initial reports, a call was made at Kalyan's residence from an unknown number and the caller verbally abused him and issued death threats.

Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan on Monday evening received death threat calls at his residence, his party said in a statement.

The Janasena Party issued a statement saying that an unidentified person made threatening calls to Kalyan's residence, verbally abused him and issued death threats.

"Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan's office staff received threatening calls from Agantakudi. A bystander who warned that he would be killed. In that order, he sent messages warning with offensive language. Peshi staff brought the threatening calls and messages to the attention of the Deputy Chief Minister. Peshi officers informed the police superiors about the threatening calls and messages, the party statement said.

The staff manning the Janasena founder's office apprised the actor - politician and also senior police officials of the threatening calls. The police have launched a probe into the death threats.
