Sex Trade Run Out Of Residential Area Busted In UP's Agra
Two major sex rackets being run out of residential neighbourhoods have been busted in Uttar Pradesh's Agra and Ghaziabad.
A prostitution racket was busted in Agra after an NGO alerted the police about an organised ring conducting the illegal operations out of houses in a residential area. The operators of the prostitution racket had turned seemingly ordinary homes into hubs for illicit activities. The ringleader was identified as a woman. A police raid led to the arrest of 10 people, including two women who managed the operation, and the rescue of five young women.

This operation, situated right in the heart of a residential area, had gone unnoticed by locals. The NGO contacted police officials to report that two houses in the Mukund Vihar area were allegedly being used for prostitution and that minors were being forced into the flesh trade. Acting on this information, a team led by ACP Tajganj Syed Arib Ahmed and ACP Sukanya Sharma, along with Anti-Human Trafficking and local police units, was formed to investigate.
Upon arriving at the location, the police surrounded the houses and conducted a thorough search. The police team arrested 10 people, including two women. The prime suspect, too, was arrested. During the raid, five young women were rescued.

The police said that the operation involved bringing girls from other states to Agra, where they were forced into prostitution. Those taken into custody are now being questioned. The police are trying to uncover links to other individuals possibly involved in the racket and trace the network of the operations in other states from where the women had been brought to the city.
Sex Racket Busted In Ghaziabad
In a similar incident, the Ghaziabad Police on Sunday busted a sex racket being operated out of a residential area in Vasundhara, reported The Times of India. The ringleader was identified as a 24-year-old man. He ran the operations along with two others.
The police said that the trio lured women with job promises and then forced them into prostitution.
