After Mumbai Bomb Threat, Several Schools In Delhi Receive Mails To Cancel Republic Day Celebrations
The email threatened the schools with a "high risk of violence and state retaliation" and instructed schools to suspend participation in the Republic Day celebration.

Several schools in Delhi on Thursday received threat emails allegedly from banned pro-Khalistan group, Sikhs for Justice (SFJ), urging them to suspend their Republic Day celebrations.
The fresh threat to Delhi schools comes months after several educational institutions in the national capital received threat messages, which later turned out to be hoaxes.
The SFJ in a "direct and urgent directive" email said it is "taking decisive action to prevent President Droupadi Murmu from unfurling the Tiranga as a protest against the Constitution, which erases identity and perpetuates systemic oppression," according to The Indian Express.

The email threatened the schools with a "high risk of violence and state retaliation" and instructed schools to suspend participation in the Republic Day celebration. The threat mail warned people against sending students or staff to any Republic Day events.
"Ensure families are informed to keep their children at home on January 26. Participation in Republic Day events poses a grave threat to the safety of students and staff. It is your responsibility to prioritise their well-being on symbolic involvement in state-sponsored celebrations. Delhi has been warned. Stay Home, Stay Safe," the email read.
A senior police officer said that the authenticity of the emails is being verified and the Delhi Police is investigating the matter to find the source.
Earlier in the day, a school in Mumbai also received a bomb threat mail, triggering an immediate security response. The Ryan Global School, where the email was sent, is located in the Jogeshwari-Oshiwara region of the city. Local law enforcement and explosive detection teams were rushed to thoroughly investigate the premises.
In December, at least 16 schools in Delhi received bomb threats via email. The police confirmed the threats were a hoax and no suspicious items were found in any school.
