234 Secret Calls And Entry Of New Character: Twists In Raja Raghuvanshi’s Murder Case Deepen — Details

In the Raja Raghuvanshi murder case, Akash destroyed Sonam's phone, and all her phones are missing. One phone was briefly active in Indore, revealing WhatsApp activity.

In the murder case of Raja Raghuvanshi, one of the murder accused, Akash, had destroyed the phone of Sonam. According to media reports, Sonam, after the murder, had handed over her phone to Akash, who then destroyed it. Since the murder of Raja, all three of Sonam’s phones have been missing. Sonam had switched off her phones right at the murder spot.

However, one of Sonam’s phones was activated in Indore. She had activated her SIM to check WhatsApp — and that proved to be her biggest mistake. Meghalaya Police is currently conducting a search operation to recover the phones. Search operations are ongoing in Indore, Guwahati, and several districts of Uttar Pradesh. Sonam herself broke Raja’s phone, and later, the accused Vishal threw it into a gorge.

A New Character Enters the Raja Raghuvanshi Case

In a major development, a new character has emerged in the case. It has been revealed that Sonam had spoken hundreds of times with a man named Sanjay Verma during the entire episode. In a span of about one month, there were 234 calls exchanged. The number Sonam was speaking to is registered under the name Sanjay Verma on the mobile app Truecaller.

Multiple calls took place between March 1 and April 8. On June 8 at 11:20 PM, the number went offline. Interestingly, on the night of June 8 itself, Sonam was found in Ghazipur. According to sources, police are investigating the number. However, official confirmation is still pending. There is also a suspicion that the SIM might be registered under a fake name.

On the other hand, a police team from Shillong arrived at Raja Raghuvanshi’s residence in Indore on Tuesday. The officers spoke with Raja’s family to gather information about Sonam’s behaviour and the days she spent in Indore after their marriage. The team of three officers also questioned Raja’s brother Vipin Raghuwanshi and his mother.
