New Delhi: Following the shocking demise of VG Siddhartha, fugitive liquor baron Vijay Mallya took to micro-blogging site Twitter and drew parallel with the situation of Cafe Coffee Day (CCD) owner's case pointing out that he was shocked to know about the content of Siddhartha's last letter. Mallya also stated that he had also faced a similar harassment by government and bank officials. "I am indirectly related to VG Siddhartha. Excellent human and brilliant entrepreneur. I am devastated with the contents of his letter. The Govt Agencies and Banks can drive anyone to despair. See what they are doing to me despite offer of full repayment. Vicious and unrelenting," Mallya tweeted. Siddhartha was declared dead on Wednesday morning after his body was washed ashore the Netravati river Ullal in Mangaluru and was found by fishermen at around 6:30 in the morning.  Earlier in the day, Mangaluru Police Commissioner Sandeep Patil told reporters that two local fishermen found Siddhartha's body about 500 metres away from the road bridge from where he is alleged to have jumped into the river on Monday night. Mangaluru police is also investigating that whether Siddhartha took his own life. Further in his tweet, owner of burglarised Kingfisher Airlines, Mallya also accused financial institutions of India for blocking his efforts of repaying his debts. "In Western Countries, Government and Banks help borrowers repay their debts. In my case they are obstructing every possible effort for me to repay my debt whilst competing for my assets. As far as the prima facie criminal case goes wait for the appeal granted," he wrote. Vijay Mallya is wanted in India for defaulting a massive amount of loan suming close to Rs9,000 crore in his failed Kingfisher Airlines. In the wake of being declared as a fugitive and a financial offender, Mallya's full-cost airline had to shut down operations back in 2012. The 63-year-old has, many a times, urged banks to take 100 per cent of the principal amount he owes to them.
