The selection process for these positions will involve tests to assess the candidates' skills and suitability. Those who successfully pass these tests will be appointed as shop floor technicians

The Tata Group plans to hire 4,000 women technicians from Uttarakhand for its component manufacturing and assembly facilities in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. This recruitment initiative will be carried out through the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) and the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS).

On Monday, the Tata Group notified Uttarakhand's planning department about the forthcoming recruitment process. This effort supports the Uttarakhand government's current initiatives, spearheaded by Chief Minister Pushkar Dhami, to create job opportunities for the state's youth.

The current recruitment drive specifically targets Tata's manufacturing facilities located in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, and Kolar, Karnataka. For the NAPS, candidates who have successfully completed their education up to class 10 or class 12 are eligible to apply. On the other hand, for the NATS, candidates must have completed either class 10 or class 12 or possess a diploma from an Industrial Training Institute (ITI).

The selection process for these positions will involve tests to assess the candidates' skills and suitability. Those who successfully pass these tests will be appointed as shop floor technicians, who will take on responsibilities related to the operations on the shop floor at Tata's facilities.

In addition to offering a fixed salary, the Tata Group will provide selected candidates with essential benefits such as accommodation, food, and transportation. These women technicians will be employed in accordance with the Apprenticeship Act of 1961 and will receive formal appointment letters based on their qualifications through the NAPS and NATS programs.

As outlined in the letter from the Tata Group, the recruited women will take on roles as shop floor technicians, where they will operate advanced automated machinery involved in precision electronics assembly. Throughout their employment, they will be under the supervision of experienced professionals. The Tata Group is committed to ensuring that all their accommodation, food, and transportation needs are fully covered in their employment package.
