Scientific Research Boosts Ayurveda's Credibility, Consumer Confidence

Leading Indian Ayurvedic companies like Patanjali, Dabur, Himalaya, and Sun Herbals now base their products on scientific research and evidence.

Ayurvedic Remedies: Ayurvedic medicine, the traditional Indian healthcare system, was once considered limited to home remedies and unreliable, but that is changing fast. Large Indian Ayurvedic companies such as Patanjali, Dabur, Himalaya, and Sun Herbals are now presenting their products with scientific backing and evidence, thus deepening public trust in natural treatments.

Patanjali Ayurved, with the help of its research institute, has conducted research on the effectiveness of several herbs and published papers in international journals. Recently, Patanjali's research on lung diseases has been published in the world-renowned journal 'Biomedicine & Pharmacotherapy'. The company claims that the Ayurvedic medicine 'Bronchom' can largely prevent the reduction in lung function caused by microplastics.

Dabur has conducted scientific tests on its 'Chyawanprash' and 'Honey' products and published the results, increasing consumer confidence. Himalaya Wellness Company has also adopted a policy of combining allopathy and Ayurveda. Many of their products, such as 'Liv 52' and 'Septilin', are being recommended by doctors because they have undergone clinical trials.

Patanjali, Himalaya, Sun Herbals, and Dabur have started citing scientific research on their websites and product packaging to attract new and educated consumers.

Changing Consumer Mindset

From urban youth to rural families, people are now leaning towards Ayurvedic alternatives instead of chemical-laden products. Information about these products, along with scientific facts, is reaching people through social media, YouTube channels and health influencers.

Today, as people are becoming more health-conscious, if Ayurveda comes forward with scientific evidence, it can become not just a tradition, but also the future path of medicine. A scientific approach has ushered Ayurveda into a new era.
