Steps To Update The Photo On Your PAN Card Online

Updating your PAN card online is a simple process. If you have the necessary credentials (such as a digital signature certificate or Aadhaar eKYC), you can complete the entire procedure paperlessly. Otherwise, you can submit the form online and send the required supporting documents along with the acknowledgement slip to the nearest document collection centre.

1. Visit the official Protean (www.protean-tinpan.com) web portal.
2. Under the ‘Services’ tab, click on ‘PAN’. Then, find and select ‘Change/Correction in PAN Data’. Click on ‘Apply’ to open the online PAN application.
3. Choose ‘Request for New PAN Card or/and Changes or Correction in PAN Data’ as the application type, then select the relevant category. Fill in the requested information, verify the captcha code, and tick the box to accept the terms and conditions. Click ‘Submit’.
4. On the next page, provide additional details like your contact information and required documents. Upload a recent passport-size photograph that meets the specified guidelines. Once all information is filled out, click ‘Submit’.
5. You will be directed to the payment page. Pay the required fee. Once payment is confirmed, you’ll receive a 15-digit acknowledgement number. Keep this number for tracking purposes.

Steps To Update The Photo On Your PAN Card Offline

1. Visit the PAN center.
2. Collect or download the ‘Request for New PAN Card or/and Changes or Corrections in PAN Data’ form.
3. Fill out all necessary details in the form.
4. Attach supporting documents, such as proof of address, identification, and passport-sized photos.
5. Submit the completed form at the PAN centre.
6. Pay the applicable fees for PAN card updates in person.
7. After payment, you will receive a 15-digit acknowledgement number to track your PAN card application status.
