'Not Differently-Abled, But Divine Souls': Ayurveda Giant Distributes Artificial Limbs, Calipers, & Crutches To Over 250 Beneficiaries

This service initiative was conducted with the support of experienced doctors, skilled technicians, and the dedicated volunteers of Patanjali’s service department.

In a special camp held at Patanjali Yogpeeth, over 250 differently-abled individuals were provided with free artificial limbs and assistive devices. The event was organised jointly by Patanjali Wellness and Udhaar Jeffries Nagpur.

Free Camp Held in Haridwar

A two-day free artificial limb transplant camp was held on July 26 and 27 at Patanjali Wellness in Haridwar under the joint aegis of Patanjali Wellness and Udhaar Jeffries Nagpur. The event focused on empowering individuals with disabilities. More than 250 beneficiaries received free assistive devices, including artificial arms, legs, callipers, and crutches.

Camp to Be Held Every Three to Four Months

Considering the success of the event, it was decided that similar camps will now be organised every three to four months. Present at the occasion were Patanjali Yogpeeth founder Swami Ramdev and Joint General Secretary Acharya Balkrishna. Both leaders personally distributed the devices and encouraged the recipients on their journey toward self-reliance.

"They Are Not Differently-Abled, But Divine Souls": Baba Ramdev

Speaking at the event, Baba Ramdev said, “They are not differently-abled, they are divine souls. They do not need sympathy, they need empowerment.” Acharya Balkrishna also addressed the gathering and interacted with the beneficiaries. He said, “Patanjali’s mission is not limited to Ayurvedic health alone. It is to make every human being self-reliant. That is our service to the nation.”

Organised with Support from Multiple Stakeholders

This service initiative was conducted with the support of Bhagwan Mahaveer Viklang Sahayata Samiti, Udhaar Seva Samiti, experienced doctors, skilled technicians, and the dedicated volunteers of Patanjali’s service department. Apart from distributing devices, the camp also included measurement, fittings, physiotherapy, and consultation services for the beneficiaries.

A Source of Inspiration for Inner Strength

The event not only provided physical support but also served as an inspiration to strengthen the inner resolve of individuals with disabilities. This initiative by Patanjali Yogpeeth underscores its deep commitment to both human and national service. Prominent figures like Swami Videhdev, Swami Punya Dev, and Sister Pooja were present at the camp, along with members of the Udhaar team management. The efforts of Sanjay, Ruchika Agarwal, Shruti, Pradhuman, Ravi, Divyanshu, Krishna, Niharika, Divya, Deendayal, and others contributed to the success of the camp.
