LVMH has also appointed the head of Christian Dior Couture Pietro Beccari as the new Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Louis Vuitton

French luxury brand LVMH has appointed the daughter of Bernard Arnault, Delphine Arnault as the new Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Christian Dior Couture. She was previously working as the Executive Vice President of Louis Vuitton.

Additionally, LVMH has also appointed the head of Christian Dior Couture Pietro Beccari as the new Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Louis Vuitton. He will succeed Michael Burke, who is taking up new responsibilities, and will report directly to Bernard Arnault, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of LVMH, the company said in a statement on Wednesday.

According to the news agency Reuters, the move is seen as Arnault tightening his family's grip on the luxury goods empire. 47 years old Delphine Arnault has worked at Louis Vuitton for the past decade alongside Burke and previously spent a dozen years at Dior.

Over the appointments, Bernard Arnault said, “Pietro Beccari has done an exceptional job at Christian Dior over the past five years. His leadership has accelerated the appeal and success of this iconic Maison…I am sure Pietro will lead Louis Vuitton to the next level of success and desirability.”

“The appointment of Delphine Arnault is another milestone in a career journey in fashion and leather goods defined by excellence, first during 12 years at Christian Dior and then at Louis Vuitton for the past decade where she was number two with responsibility for all of the Maison’s product activities….Her keen insights and incomparable experience will be decisive assets in driving the ongoing development of Christian Dior,” Arnault said.

LVMH said that the new appointments will be effective as of February 1, 2023.

As part of the management changes announced on Wednesday, the company is also folding Tiffany into the watches and jewelry division, under the management of Stephane Bianchi.

The company has appointed Charles Delapalme, Executive Vice President of Christian Dior Couture as Managing Director of Christian Dior Couture.
