Cryptocurrency Price Today: Bitcoin Rises Above $28,000, Solana Gains Over 14%

Cryptocurrency price on October 2 quick take: The global market cap rose to $1.11 trillion.

Bitcoin (BTC), the world’s oldest and most valued cryptocurrency, managed to rise above the $28,000 mark early Monday. Popular altcoins — including the likes of Ethereum (ETH), Dogecoin (DOGE), Ripple (XRP), and Litecoin (LTC) — saw notable gains across the board. Solana (SOL) went on to become the biggest gainer, with a 24-hour jump of over 14 percent. Maker (MKR) became the biggest loser, with a 24-hour dip of nearly 4 percent. 

The global crypto market cap stood at $1.11 trillion at the time of writing, registering a 24-hour gain of 3.05 percent.

Bitcoin (BTC) Price Today

Bitcoin price stood at $28,144.61, registering a 24-hour gain of 4.04 percent, as per CoinMarketCap. According to Indian exchange WazirX, BTC price stood at Rs 23.75 lakh.

Ethereum (ETH) Price Today

ETH price stood at $1,782.24, marking a 24-hour gain of 3.22 percent at the time of writing. As per WazirX, Ethereum price in India stood at Rs 1.45 lakh.

Dogecoin (DOGE) Price Today

DOGE registered a 24-hour jump of 2.31 percent, as per CoinMarketCap data, currently priced at $0.06354. As per WazirX, Dogecoin price in India stood at Rs 5.38.

Litecoin (LTC) Price Today

Litecoin saw a 24-hour gain of 2.83 percent. At the time of writing, it was trading at $67.89. LTC price in India stood at Rs 5,799.

Ripple (XRP) Price Today

XRP price stood at $0.5253, seeing a 24-hour jump of 1.70 percent. As per WazirX, Ripple price stood at Rs 43.32.

Solana (SOL) Price Today

Solana price stood at $24.08, marking a 24-hour gain of 13.55 percent. As per WazirX, SOL price in India stood at Rs 2,000.34.
