TVS X Electric Scooter: Five Reasons Why You Should Bring It Home

TVS X Electric Scooter: Built on an all new platform, the design is edgy and looks more bold than just about any EV scooter yet.

TVS X Electric Scooter: 1. The design has to be the main highlight as it seems to have been lifted straight from the concept show stand while also having a resemblance to the Creon concept. Built on an all new platform, the design is edgy and looks more bold than just about any EV scooter yet. Some of the details which stand out include an exposed frame while the all-LED headlamp is uniquely shaped too. It sits more as a cross between a scooter and a motorcycle. There are also sequential turn indicators and programmable light sequences too.

2. The huge 10.2-inch HD+TFT touchscreen takes up your attention here and is filled with technology which sort of explains its pricing.  The huge screen is tilt-adjustable while having loads of inbuilt features and you can browse the internet as well. There is also NavPro, an inbuilt navigation. It goes beyond showing just the speed.

3. The TVS X gets an inhouse motor with a maximum power of11 kW (15 PS), rated power of 7 kW (9.5 PS) plus torque of 40 Nm. There are three ride modes and five selectable regen braking modes. Top speed is 105 kmph with a 0-40 kmph time of 2.6 seconds while the aforementioned ride modes include Xtealth, Xtride and Xonic. There are also Telescopic forks at the front, offset Monoshock at the rear.

4. Range is quoted as 140 km while there is an external 950W portable charger for the household socket plus you can get a 3kW SmartXHome charger. We should point out that the X has cruise control and a reverse assistant.

5. The TVS X comes in at a premium price positioning at Rs 2,49,990/- (Ex-showroom Bengaluru) with portable 950W chargers at INR. 16,275 while a 3kW Smart X Home rapid charger comes in as an option. This electric scooter does not get the FAME incentive and it is no doubt more expensive than other electric scooters while its range isn't the highest too. However, the design, quality and the features make it stand out while you will be paying for that.
