Tata Curvv Is An SUV Coupe With Near 400 Km Range, Launch Expected In 2024
The Curvv crucially debuts the new Generation 2 EV architecture and that will also be the base for future EVs from Tata Motors.
New Delhi: The Curvv is a new SUV concept from Tata Motors and represents the next all new product. It is an interesting car since this would be an SUV coupe which would be positioned above the Nexon as a more premium SUV while still being below the Safari.
The Curvv crucially debuts the new Generation 2 EV architecture and that will also be the base for future EVs from Tata Motors. The new platform is different from the Nexon and the Tigor EV since it is not a petrol/diesel-centric platform converted for EV as it is ready for both EV and petrol/diesel.
This means better packaging and a longer wheelbase for a spacious interior. This is a concept for now and the exact name is not decided yet or the exact specs being revealed. That said with a bigger motor and battery pack, expect the range to be much more than the current Nexon with an expected range of near 500km.
The design is quite aggressive and futuristic while showing the future design of Tata Motors cars. The looks are also inspired by the Sierra concept seen at the Auto Expo.
The Curvv will come in a few years though as it is a concept for now. However, the Curvv will also get petrol and diesel engines along with an EV of course. The production version will debut first with an EV though.
This would be the flagship EV SUV and be a sportier SUV placed above the Nexon. For now this would be the first SUV coupe at this price point in the Indian market.
