New Sedans Enter The SUV Arena: Maruti Dzire And Honda Amaze Debut

Both the new Dzire and the Amaze are new generation models with new interiors and a new design language

While the Indian car market is having an SUV love affair, there are new sedans on the block with Maruti Suzuki and Honda cars bringing back its two popular cars in its new avatar. Both the new Dzire and the Amaze are new generation models with new interiors and a new design language. The new fourth generation Dzire has been revealed partially with the launch slated for 11th November.

The new Dzire gets a new look design language with a different face while being based on the new Swift. Bookings for the new Dzire are at Rs 11,000 while standard it is expected to get the new Z series 1.2l petrol with AMT and a manual gearbox. The new Dzire is expected to get new interiors too with the same design as the Swift but the interior colour could be different while it could get more features as well including a sunroof.

The new Amaze is also coming later with a launch expected to be in January of 2025. The new generation Amaze is all new and as per the teaser images gains a new design language inspired by the Honda City.

While it will be below 4m, the design would be all new and the interiors are expected to be like its elder brother City. The new Amaze would be based on the City platform and has a larger grille now along with wider headlamps. The Amaze will be petrol only and come with a 1.2l unit while getting a CVT and a manual.

It seems with an SUV onslaught, it is refreshing to see new sedans coming in and keeping the compact sedan segment alive.
