Ford Ranger Launch: Is The Massive Pick-Up Coming In India? Check Here
The Ranger in its new generation form is bigger, more spacious, and better equipped with a 360-degree camera, huge 12-inch touchscreen, e-shifter, digital dials, and more
It appears that US automaker Ford has imported some vehicles for testing, which only serves to intensify speculations about its comeback. As previously said, Ford is set to re-enter the Indian market with a line-up of Completely Built-Up (CBU) products, with the expected launch of the new Endeavour.
While the American carmaker has not made any announcement on this yet, the spotting of its cars in Chennai means something is indeed in the works. While the new generation Endeavour or the Everest has been spotted, the Ranger Pick-up was also there.
The Ranger is based on the same architecture as the Endeavour and is the pick-up version of the same. It will rival the likes of the Hilux and the V-Cross while the Ranger if brought in CBU form would be much more expensive than the other two.
The New Generation Ranger
The Ranger in its new generation form is bigger, more spacious, and better equipped with a 360-degree camera, huge 12-inch touchscreen, e-shifter, digital dials, and more.
It also gets wireless charging, smart climate control and a lot more. The engines involve a single turbo or a bi-turbo diesel engine with an automatic as standard. There are selectable drive modes and off-road screens while it is a proper 4x4 of course in terms of its capabilities.
It also looks butch and appealing with the new look which is also shared with the new Endeavour while it is available in a double cab format.
The Ranger could be an interesting but niche offering for the Indian market where pick-up trucks have not yet been accepted on a large scale, unlike other global markets. The Ranger though can be used as a halo product for Ford India instead.
