New MG Hector Launch Expected In Diwali, To Feature India 's Largest Touchscreen In Car

MG Motor unveiled that the new MG Hector will have the biggest touchscreen in India competing with luxury cars.

New Delhi: MG is readying the new Hector for India and we expect a launch by Diwali while the SUV will get big updates starting with an all-new touchscreen. The new touch screen is 14inch in size but continues to be in Portrait mode while being an HD unit.

This makes Hector now to have the biggest touchscreen in India competing with luxury cars in small numbers that have a touchscreen so big. The new Hector also sports a new interior given by the image with a floating type lay-out and the new Hector will also get a new infotainment system with added technology as well.

It might get new features seen on the Astor while ADAS Level 2 features could also be added to the Hector. The interiors would be more premium now along with a new dashboard as well. Even the instrument cluster could be all new. In terms of exterior styling we expect a change in terms of grille to the headlamps. We do not expect mechanically things to be different with the same engine options being carried forward. ]

Hence, expect a 1.5 turbo petrol including a mild hybrid variant along with a CVT automatic being offered. There would be a 2.0l diesel too with a manual transmission. The new Hector will compete with a whole line-up of rivals including the Mahindra XUV700 to some extent then also the Hyundai Creta along with the upcoming Maruti Grand Vitara/Toyota Hyryder.

The Hector was the first product from MG and gained considerable success ever since its launch.
