Mercedes-Benz Launches Smarter A Limousine And Fiery Mercedes-AMG A 45 S 4MATIC+ In India

With the launch of these upgraded models, Mercedes-Benz aims to deliver enhanced driving experiences to its discerning Indian customers by combining performance, style, and advanced technology.

Mercedes-Benz India has unveiled the new A 200 Limousine and the dynamic Mercedes-AMG A 45 S 4MATIC+ Face Lift models. These launches aim to cater to the evolving preferences of tech-savvy Indian customers who aspire to own a Mercedes-Benz.

"The launch of the A-Class Limousine was a strategic decision that garnered an outstanding customer response. Building on the success of the A-Class, we are now introducing an upgraded New A-Class with design changes and significant tech enhancements. The A-Class limousine promises a dynamic road presence complemented by a tech-enabled personalized and elevated driving experience. It will continue to appeal to the evolving aspirations of today's dynamic, tech-savvy, young clientele aspiring for a Mercedes-Benz," said Santosh Iyer, Managing Director & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India.

The Mercedes-AMG A 45 S 4MATIC+ has earned the title of India's fastest and most attractive luxury performance hatchback. Designed specifically for performance purists, the improved AMG A 45 S proudly sports the AMG emblem and features impeccable AMG design trim. This fiery hatchback launch reaffirms Mercedes-Benz's commitment to offering a superior driving performance experience to its customers.

The A 200 Limousine Face Lift is priced at INR 45.80 Lakhs (All India ex-showroom) and comes with an 8-year warranty for Engine & Transmission as standard. On the other hand, the Mercedes-AMG A 45 S 4MATIC+ Face Lift starts from INR 92.50 Lakhs (All India ex-showroom).

The new A 200 Limousine boasts perfectly balanced proportions, meticulous attention to detail in its design, and incorporates the latest MBUX (Mercedes-Benz User Experience) and New Generation Telematics (NTG7) systems. These enhancements make the A-Limousine more intelligent, stylish, and convenient. The A 200d variant is set to be launched in Q4 of 2023.

Equipped with a powerful 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine, the Mercedes-AMG A 45 S 4MATIC+ demonstrates increased intelligence and intuitiveness. It proudly showcases the prestigious AMG crest on the front, symbolizing its heritage of 'One Man, One Engine' craftsmanship.

Key highlights of the new Mercedes A 200 Limousine include a striking and sporty exterior design, high-tech interiors featuring a freestanding dual-screen display, and enhanced digital features for a smarter and safer driving experience. The car incorporates the latest generation of MBUX, which is intuitive to operate and capable of learning. It also offers advanced safety features such as Car-to-X communication.

The Mercedes Me App provides online services and an enhanced 'Hey Mercedes' voice assistant, offering a more capable and interactive dialogue experience. The telematics system has been improved for better performance and design, enabling wireless connectivity with smartphones through Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. The new A-Class also prioritizes safety with seven airbags, including a knee airbag.

In terms of convenience, the A-Limousine introduces features like KEYLESS-GO, allowing owners to keep the vehicle key in their pocket and easily open and start the car. HANDS-FREE ACCESS enables contactless opening of the boot lid, which proves useful when carrying heavy bags. Additionally, the Digital Key Handover feature allows the primary user to remotely unlock the vehicle and activate the key stored in the car for authorized users.

The Mercedes-AMG A 45 S 4MATIC+ Face Lift model comes with a powerful 2.0-litre turbocharged engine, generating 421 hp, making it the highest power output among hatchbacks in India. With a remarkable 0-100 acceleration in 3.9 seconds, it is the fastest AMG hatch available globally. The car features the AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT 8G transmission and combines AMG Suspension with the fully variable AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive, ensuring impressive agility and performance.

The exterior of the Mercedes-AMG A 45 S showcases the prestigious AMG Crest on the front badge, enhancing its performance DNA. The front end receives new headlamp designs and an AMG-specific radiator design. The interior boasts new Aluminum AMG design Trim elements in black/silver and an AMG Performance steering wheel with touch control panels.

The Mercedes-AMG A 45 S is equipped with the latest generation of the MBUX infotainment system (NTG7), offering an intuitive in-car experience. The display styles can be customized, and the new AMG-specific graphics, such as AMG DYNAMIC SELECT, enhance the overall driving experience. The car also provides wireless connectivity with smartphones and increased USB charging capacity.
