From Design To Features, Mahindra Reveals More Details Of BE 05 Electric SUV

Mahindra is preparing to launch BE 05 electric SUV and has revealed some more details about its architecture and features.

Mahindra BE 05 Electric SUV: Mahindra is betting big on EVs and has revealed further details about its future range of born electric SUVs based on a new architecture. The new range of electric SUVs will also include EV versions of its Scorpio and even the Bolero. But the first launches would be the XUV.e models and the new range of BE models. The BE range is a sportier lineup of electric SUVs and the most interesting is the BE 05. The BE range will use more powerful motors from Volkswagen including all-wheel drive dual motor layout while the styling would also be more aggressive.

The BE 05 will either get a single motor or a dual motor layout. The BE 05 also will get a 79kWh battery pack. Mahindra has also roped in AR Rahman to make the sounds in the EVs specially the drive mode sounds. In terms of features, there will be a premium 16-speaker audio system having Dolby Atmos and noise cancellation with Harman Kardon.

There would be a touchscreen screen-dominated layout as well. Fast charging, V2L and other capabilities will be seen on the cars. The BE 05 will come in 2025 while first we will see the electric versions of the XUV in form of the XUV e8 and e9 with a single motor layout unlike the BE.

The XUV e8 will be the first offering from Mahindra and will be launched towards the end of 2024 with the SUV coupe version coming in later in a few months' time. The electric range will also see the Thar electric coming in and others from its legacy ICE portfolio too going forward. Hence, the coming years will see Mahindra bringing in its all new electric SUV lineup.
