Kia Relaunches EV6 In India With A Certified Range Of 708km And V2L Functionality — Details

Kia first launched the EV6 in June 2022, and the model has been well-received globally as the first ground-up EV from the brand.

Kia has relaunched the EV6 in India with a starting price of Rs 60.95 lakh for the GT Line version while the GT Line AWD is priced at Rs  65.95 lakh. The EV6 is made on the E-GMP platform and comes with features like vehicle-to-load (V2L) functionality with a certified range of 708km. The first 200 buyers also get a 95% buyback policy within 30 days, free periodic maintenance for 5 years, and 8 years/160000 Kms warranty on the battery.

In terms of colour options, the EV6 has Runway Red, Yacht Blue, Moonscape, Aurora Black Pearl, and Snow White Pearl colours. The car was first launched in June 2022 and since then prices have increased a bit also.

That said, unlike the first order, there is no cap on the bookings of the EV6 this time around. The EV6 has had high demand and Kia sold more cars than it had anticipated while this time it has a bigger supply of cars.

In addition to this, Kia will also expand its EV dealerships from the current count and bring them to all of its dealerships which sell the other Kia cars.

The EV6 gets a 77.4kWh battery and a claimed ARAI range of 708km. The GT comes with a single motor while the AWD comes with a dual-motor setup. The dual motor is more powerful and gets more than 300 bhp and also more than 600 Nm with two electric motors while it has more grip as well with AWD on offer.

We drove the car briefly at the track when it was launched and the EV6 was a fast car as per the limited driving experience that we got.

The EV6 is the first ground-up EV that has been received well worldwide also. Other than the EV6, Kia is globally expanding its EV line-up and recently showed the premium EV9 flagship electric SUV.
