Electric Cars That Charge Fully In 18 Minutes? Check Out Range Of Upcoming Kia EV6

Worldwide, the EV6 has huge demand, and allocation for the Indian market is currently limited due to factors like demand plus the chip shortage.

Kia is all set to introduce its first electric car in India and it is the EV6. It would be a premium crossover and would be priced as a full import with limited numbers for the Indian market. Bookings for the car would be starting soon while only a few Kia dealers would be selling the EV6. Only a few cities would be getting the EV6 via single Kia dealers with only 100 units being allocated to India. Hence, the EV6 would be a premium EV to showcase what Kia can do rather than being a volumes product.

In terms of pricing, being an import, the EV6 would be priced around Rs 55 lakh plus depending on the variants while we expect India spec EV6 to be well equipped with all top features. India will get the long-range 77.4 kWh battery pack which is expected to provide a range of near 530km while dual motor or the single motor version can come with different power outputs.

Another headline is the 800V charging capability which means that the EV6 can be charged from 10 to 80 percent battery charge in just 18 minutes. This is via the fast DC charger.

Other highlights include six regenerative braking levels, a flat floor with a large amount of space inside with 990mm of legroom plus features like two curved 12.3" high-definition widescreens, augmented reality HUD, 14-speaker Meridian surround audio system, flush door handles, and more.

The EV6 is based on the all-new Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) which has been made especially for electric vehicles.
