Tesla is gearing up to kickstart it's India presence officially with all new Model Y SUV which would be the first product on sale here. While 15th would be the store launch, exact details and the launch of the cars could be later although the prices could be available too. The new Model Y is a big update and comes with a new look, better suspension and new interior. India will get the facelifted Model Y and the range could be upwards of 700km. We can expect the RWD and the AWD dual motor to be available in India. Even the single motor would be very fast with a 0-100 km/h time of 5.9 seconds while the AWD would be a supercar like 4.3 seconds to 100 km/h. The first models are all CBUs which means they would be imported into India for now with no plans of local assembly.

 

 

The Model Y would be around Rs 70 lakh when imported into India while the Model 3 could be a bit cheaper but not so much. The Model Y would be the flagship product for now as the larger S won't be coming here most likely and the Cybertruck also won't come here officially.
