Audi Unveils Updated Q8 E-Tron With Enhanced Range And Styling—Details

Audi has updated the etron and has now renamed it Q8 etron ahead of its launch expected to happen soon by next month.

Audi has updated the etron and has now named it Q8 etron with the launch expected to happen soon by next month. The Q8 etron has been unveiled in India and comes with many updates including more range. There are styling changes including the new Audi 2D logo plus a new updated bumper design as well. In terms of its electric powertrain, the etron now gets a dual motor layout with 408hp and 664Nm of torque while that enables the Q8 etron to go from 0-100 kmph in 5.6 seconds. The range figure has now increased to 600km in terms of a WLTP figure. 

The German luxury carmaker also gives a 22kW AC charger with the Q8 e-tron which means a full charge will take place in six hours. Of course with fast charging the Q8 etron will juice up in only 31 minutes. You also get charging flaps on both sides of the SUV. The Q8 etron gets features like a 16-speaker Bang and Olufsen premium audio system, four-zone climate control, 360 degree camera, panoramic sunroof, digital dials plus massage seats. 

The etron has been one of the more popular luxury EVs while this update will strengthen Audi's EV range in India. Both the Sportback and the regular Q8 etron would be launched. We expect a price announcement in a few weeks time. 

This would also be one of its first launches with the new Audi logo. The Q8 etron will compete with the likes of the BMW ix electric SUV. Globally the brand has also changed its design plus with new logo while also bolstering its electric range with several new EVs. The company also recently launched the Q3 Sportback variant of its popular Q3 SUV in India.
