Woman Delivers Baby On Road After Andhra Hospital Denies Admission
The hospital staff reportedly denied admission to the woman since she did not have any attendants.
A woman delivered a baby on the road in front of a maternity hospital after the hospital denied to admit her in Andhra Pradesh's Tirupati. The video of the woman delivering the baby while the other women holding a bedsheet to cover the woman has also gone viral on social media.
According to a report on NDTV, a woman started experiencing labour pain and reached a 100-bed Tirupati Maternity Hospital. However, the hospital staff reportedly denied admission to the woman since she did not have any attendants.
The woman who came out of the hospital reportedly suffered intense pain and started screaming. The people who were nearby immediately rushed for help.
The women who were nearby held a bedsheet covering the woman. A man, who was a primary health center worker, helped the woman deliver her child.
The woman and baby were then admitted to the hospital.

However, the hospital authorities told The New Indian Express that they were unaware that the woman was pregnant and she never consulted the doctors at the hospital.
Meanwhile, Tirupati district health-in-charge Srihari ordered a probe into the matter. He also said that action will be taken against those who were found guilty.
Srihari also assured that pregnant women will not be denied admission even if there isn't an attendant.

Tirupati district collector K Venkataramana Reddy also summoned DMHO Srihari. He has also instructed DMHO to submit a report on the delivery of the baby on the road in front of the Maternity hospital.
The TDP constituency in-charge M Sugunamma condemned the attitude of the Maternity Hospital. She also called the incident unfortunate and demanded a thorough probe into the incident.
