Jana Sena Chief Pawan Kalyan Meets BJP President JP Nadda, Discusses Joint Strategy

After the meeting, Pawan Kalyan told the media that the JSP and BJP would take all measures to ensure that the anti-YSRC vote is not split.

Jana Sena Party (JSP) chief Pawan Kalyan met BJP national president J.P. Nadda at his residence in New Delhi on Tuesday. The duo held talks over an electoral alliance for the next year's elections in Andhra Pradesh.

After the meeting, Pawan Kalyan told the media that the JSP and BJP would take all measures to ensure that the anti-YSRC vote is not split. Pawan Kalyan said it would be difficult to say at this stage to what extent they have clarity with the BJP. He, however, said they were moving ahead with the goal of coming to power.

"Our agenda is a YSRCP-free Andhra Pradesh. The BJP's agenda is also the same. We discussed the issue of making Andhra Pradesh YSRCP-free from all angles," Pawan Kalyan said.

The actor-politician said there would be a plan to free the people of Andhra Pradesh from the rule of the YSRCP. Kalyan hoped that the talks he held with the BJP leaders would yield good results in the future. He said JSP was trying to strengthen itself, and the BJP should take organisational decisions to strengthen itself. He said he discussed with Nadda the lawlessness, corruption, and clashes in Andhra Pradesh.

The JSP leader is likely to meet Union Home Minister Amit Shah and some other leaders on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, on Monday, Pawan Kalyan met Union Water Resources Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and requested to take necessary steps for speedy completion of the Polavaram Irrigation project.

The actor-politician claimed that the State government was attributing the delay in completing the multi-purpose national project to a lack of funds, in order to cover up its failures. He requested Shekhawat to offer financial support to the State government to enable it to complete the project as soon as possible.
