'BJP and RSS Are Venomous Snakes,' Mallikarjun Kharge's Statement Sparks Political Heat | ABP News

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge launched a strong attack on the BJP and RSS in Sangli, Maharashtra, on Sunday (November 17). He compared the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh to "poison," calling them the "most politically dangerous" entities in India. Kharge stated, "If there's anything politically dangerous in India, it is the BJP and RSS. They are like poison. If a snake bites, the person dies. Such venomous snakes must be killed." He mocked the BJP, saying that the number of leaders campaigning for the Maharashtra elections was higher than the number of candidates they had in the field. He added, "Prime Minister Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and other leaders came here. Even Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was here today. I don't know what happened to them. In Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh, a hospital fire killed 10 children, but their rallies in Maharashtra continued." Kharge also criticized Prime Minister Modi for focusing on state-level elections while claiming his "hunger for power" was not yet satisfied. He pointed out that Modi had not visited Manipur, which was suffering from ethnic conflict, instead choosing to travel abroad. "Modi was here till yesterday, and today he is abroad. Manipur is burning, people are dying, tribal women are being dishonored, and women are being raped, yet Modi never went there. He is on a foreign trip," Kharge said. He further suggested that Modi should first focus on strengthening the country before traveling abroad. "Take care of your home first. Strengthen the country first. You can travel anywhere later," Kharge added. Kharge also questioned the outcomes of meetings Modi held with international leaders, such as Donald Trump and the presidents of Russia and China. He remarked that his age would not prevent him from supporting Congress ideology and connecting with the people. He also criticized Vishal Patil, saying, "Some leaders who were given positions by the party have taken advantage of them. We are not criticizing anyone, but if the Congress party gives you everything, you should not betray it."  The Congress President emphasized that the party did not want any divisions within the family of late former Chief Minister Vasantdada Patil. He said, "I was informed that Lok Sabha MP Vishal Patil from Sangli won with Congress support, and the party honored him by rejoining him."
