Exam Alert: Bihar Board 10th Students Denied Entry Over Minutes-Late Arrival Amid Strict Rules

The Bihar Board 10th examinations began today in Patna and across the state, with strict adherence to guidelines. However, several students faced distress after arriving slightly late at exam centers and being denied entry. At Kamla Nehru High School in Patna, a girl arrived just minutes after the 9:00 a.m. gate closure. Initially refused entry, she was later escorted inside by her father. Similar incidents occurred in Bettiah, West Champaran, where traffic jams delayed multiple female students, preventing them from taking the exam. Parents and students expressed frustration, emphasizing that minor delays caused by factors beyond their control jeopardized their futures. School authorities maintained that rules required strict gate closure to ensure fairness and examination discipline. These incidents highlight the challenges of balancing punctuality enforcement with student welfare during large-scale exams. Officials have urged students and parents to reach centers well ahead of time, while public debate grows over whether such strict entry rules disproportionately affect students facing unavoidable delays.
