T20 World Cup 2024: PM Modi Congratulates Team India For Historic Victory | IND Vs SA
Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to the Indian cricket team on phone on Sunday (30 June) and congratulated the entire team. He congratulated Rohit Sharma for his excellent captaincy and praised his T20 career. PM Modi also praised Virat Kohli's innings in the final and his contribution to Indian cricket. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have also announced their retirement from this shortest format of cricket after winning the T20 World Cup. PM Modi praised Hardik Pandya for his last over and Suryakumar Yadav for his catch. He also praised the contribution of Jasprit Bumrah. The PM also thanked Rahul Dravid for his contribution to Indian cricket. Hardik Pandya bowled brilliantly in the last overs. Suryakumar had caught the dangerous looking David Miller, which turned the entire match. Similarly, Bumrah had brought the Indian team back into the match on the basis of his brilliant bowling.
