Hardik Pandya To Comeback, Set to Return to Red-Ball Cricket in Upcoming Series!
Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya may return to Test cricket after almost six years, potentially featuring in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia. According to media reports, he is expected to play in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, followed by appearances in the Ranji Trophy for his state team. This series of matches indicates his readiness to make a comeback in red-ball cricket, although official confirmation is still awaited. Reports suggest that Pandya intends to represent Baroda in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, having expressed his desire to the Baroda Cricket Association. He also aims to participate in the Ranji Trophy, particularly with the Border-Gavaskar Trophy on the horizon, as he seeks to re-establish himself in red-ball cricket. Currently, the Dilip Trophy is ongoing, but Pandya is not part of that tournament. Hardik Pandya last played for India in a T20 match in July. He has been away from Test cricket since 2018, mainly due to fitness issues. In his Test career, he has played 11 matches, taking 17 wickets and scoring 532 runs. His last first-class appearance was in December 2018 against Mumbai in the Ranji Trophy. It will be interesting to see when Hardik Pandya officially makes his return to red-ball cricket.
