YSRCP Alleges Severe Lapses In Security For Former CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy: 'Police Showed Complete Negligence'

YSRCP alleged that the current government has been intentionally reducing security measures for YS Jagan since coming to power.

Jagan Security News: The Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) on Wednesday accused Andhra Pradesh government of deliberately creating security issues for former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, despite his Z+ category protection. The party claimed that police personnel were absent near Guntur Mirchi Market Yard during his visit, raising serious concerns about his safety.

In an official release, YSRCP alleged that the current government has been intentionally reducing security measures for YS Jagan since coming to power. The party condemned the removal of security personnel as a planned attempt to create problems for the former CM, as per a report on ANI.

The party highlighted several serious security concerns, including: Providing worn-out bulletproof vehicles for YS Jagan’s travel, scaling down security without conducting a proper review, negligence in deploying security personnel during his district visits.

YSRCP Guntur District President Ambati Rambabu strongly condemned the alleged lapses, stating ANI: "Despite having Z+ category security, the police showed complete negligence. No police personnel were visible near the Guntur Mirchi Market Yard. This is a deliberate conspiracy to create security issues for YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. YSRCP strongly condemns the government's approach."

He alleged that the government was trying to suppress the voices of farmers by creating security concerns. "Removing security is a planned attempt to create problems. The government's behaviour is highly anarchic. Since coming to power, the government has been intentionally reducing former Chief Minister YS Jagan’s security. They provided worn-out bulletproof vehicles. Security was scaled down without even conducting a review. The same negligence is seen during his district visits as well," he said.
