As India gear up to face Australia in the second India vs Australia Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) 2024-25, here's a list of top 5 Indian batters with most runs in day-night Tests.

India and Australia will lock horns against each other in the second Test of the Bordre-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) 2024-25 in Adelaide from December 6-10. In what will be a day-night (pink-ball) affair, Team India will look to stage another strong showing after a commanding 295-run victory in the first Test in Perth, to lead the series by 2-0. Australians, on the other hand, will aim to maintain their dominant form in the day-night contests.

India have played four pink-ball Tests, winning three (against Bangladesh, England and Sri Lanka) and losing one to Australia at Adelaide, the venue for the upcoming second IND vs AUS Test. Here’s a look at the top five run-scorers for India in pink-ball Tests.

1. Virat Kohli: Virat Kohli is India's highest run-scorer in pink-ball Tests, with 277 runs in six innings. His best performance came in his first day-night Test, scoring 136 against Bangladesh. Kohli also contributed 74 runs in the first innings in Adelaide against Australia but struggled in the second innings, along with moderate scores in subsequent Tests against England and Sri Lanka. 2. Rohit Sharma: Team India captain has scored 173 runs in three pink-ball Tests. His contributions include 21 against Bangladesh, 66 and an unbeaten 25 against England and 15 and 46 against Sri Lanka, helping India secure comfortable victories in all matches. (Image Credits: PTI)
