Rain kills 9 in UP, schools to remains shut in Lucknow today
The eastern and central parts of Uttar Pradesh have observed heavy to very heavy rains in the past 24 hours. In fact, cities of Lucknow, Gorakhpur, and Varanasi have observed hefty Monsoon showers.
Moreover, in the last 24 hours from 8.30 am yesterday, Fursatganj saw 138 mm of rains, Gorakhpur recorded a whopping 119 mm of rains while Varanasi recorded 138 mm of rainfall during the same time period. Heavy rains were also seen in Lucknow to the tune of 77 mm with Kanpur seeing 81 mm of rains.
