Tyre market in Gokulpuri set ablaze by protesters
Fire engulfed a tyre market near Gokulpuri metro station area in Northeast Delhi where violence between pro and anti-protestors broke out since February 22. The fire, which was allegedly set during the CAA violence, was doused after 10 fire tenders rushed to the spot. No casualties were reported from the fire. For security reasons, the Delhi Police have currently closed the metro stations in the violence-prone areas. Seven persons including a policeman have lost their lives and several people got injured in the clashes.
