NASA astronaut and India's pride, Sunita Williams, has finally returned to Earth after being stranded on the International Space Station (ISS) for nine months. Along with her, fellow NASA astronaut Butch Wilmore also landed safely. The two astronauts made a successful splashdown in the Atlantic Ocean near Florida at 3:30 AM IST on Wednesday, March 19. Williams and Wilmore had been stuck at the ISS for months, but thanks to joint efforts by NASA and SpaceX, they finally made their way back. After a 17-hour journey from the ISS, their SpaceX capsule landed near Florida’s Tallahassee coast. Nearly an hour later, both astronauts emerged from the capsule, smiling and waving at the cameras. Their return marks a significant success for NASA and SpaceX, ensuring their safe retrieval after a prolonged stay in space.
