Security Beefed Up Post Terrorist Attack In Doda, LG Manoj Sinha Fumes In Anger | ABP News

Five security personnel, including an army officer, were martyred in an encounter with terrorists in the forest area of Doda district, officials reported on Tuesday. The encounter began around 7:45 PM in the Dhari Gote Urbagi area of the Desa forest. Troops from the National Rifles and the Special Operations Group of Jammu and Kashmir Police initiated a joint cordon and search operation, which led to the exchange of fire lasting over 20 minutes. During the encounter, four army personnel, including an officer, and a policeman sustained critical injuries. The injured were promptly transported to a hospital for medical treatment. Despite efforts to save them, four of the injured security personnel succumbed to their injuries. The operation and search efforts are ongoing as officials continue to address the situation.
